First Impressions with KM Hodge at #ReadingIndie

Welcome to the author of...

FBI Special Agent Alex Bailey takes on a new partner, Katherine Mitchel… and a new secret mission. Katherine uncovers damning evidence against a major crime ring known as The Syndicate. The group controls key members of the D.C. Metropolitan Area Police, the U.S. Congress, even the FBI, and they will stop at nothing to protect their interests. With her life on the line, Katherine is forced to put her faith in Alex as she flees from Washington D.C. and enters the Witness Protection Program. In the most dangerous investigation of his career, Alex must decide how far he is willing to go to keep Katherine safe, and to stop The Syndicate.

Let's see what kind of first impression she makes.

First time you typed “the end” or finished a book.
The first time I finished a book was in 2015. The book, Red on the Run, is the first book in my Syndicate-born Trilogy and it was awarded the Pinnacle Book Achievment Award in the Thriller category in 2016. Finishing this book was very emotional for me. It's my favorite because it's my first.

First writing award or professional milestone.
My first award was the Pinnacle Book Achievment award, but the milestone that meant the most to me was making the USA Today Bestseller list this year.

First fan interaction or positive review.
Move over Baldacci. Prepare for competition from this new author! Spellbinding - hard to put down." ~ Patrisha Ehlert

These days, she lives in Texas with her husband and two energetic boys and once again enjoys writing tales of suspense and intrigue that keep her readers up all night. Her stories, which focus on women's issues, friendship, addiction, regrets and second chances, will stay with you long after you finish them.

First Impressions with Mackenzie Flohr at #ReadingIndie

Welcome to the author of...

One boy…one Rite… And a world of deadly secrets that could change the course of history—forever.

And so begins the tale of Mierta McKinnon. When a horrible fate reveals itself during his Rite of Wands ceremony, he must find a way to change not only his destiny but also the land of Iverna’s.

Forbidden from revealing the future he foresees to anyone, he is granted a wand and his magical powers, but still must master the realm of magic in order to save himself and those he loves.

But Mierta is not the only one with secrets…especially when it’s impossible to know who to trust.

Let's see what kind of first impression Mackenzie makes.

First life experience you wanted to write about; factual or fictionalized.
A little of both. I started penning a book about politics in theatre. Person I was writing it for didn't like the sample I gave her, so I ended up moving onto something better.

First public appearance or author interview.
SoapTalk with actress Melody Thomas Scott!

First fan interaction or positive review.
From Samantha, age 12, in Australia - FANTASTIC!!!!!!  This book is a combination of Thriller, Death, Suspense, and a many more other things.  I rate this book 5 STARS and, I would recommend this book for people aged 8 and above.

First character or topic that was difficult to write.
Mierta McKinnon

First time you considered yourself an author.
When I saw the first .pdf proof of the inside of my book.
